ALICE IN CHAINS To Headline LOCOBAZOOKA! Music Festival

May 23, 2006

3-D Entertainment announced today that legendary grunge rockers ALICE IN CHAINS will headline the Locobazooka! music festival at the Tweeter Center on Sunday, August 13, 2006.

New England's largest music festival, Locobazooka! is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. For the past several years, the festival had been held at the Fitchburg Municipal Airport in Fitchburg, MA. Dan Hartwell, 3-D Entertainment President, remarked, "Locobazooka! grows bigger and better every year. With an incredible band like ALICE IN CHAINS headlining and the move to a first-class venue like the Tweeter Center, this year's 15th anniversary celebration is going to be huge!" Hartwell added that additional bands would be announced in the coming weeks.

One of the most successful and influential bands to come out of the Seattle music scene, ALICE IN CHAINS reunited earlier this year for the first time since the death of lead singer Layne Staley in 2002. The band's recent U.S. club tour included a sold out show at Boston's Avalon Ballroom last night.

Locobazooka! has become known by both music fans and music business professionals alike as a springboard to success for many up-and-coming bands. KID ROCK, LIMP BIZKIT, GODSMACK, SYSTEM OF A DOWN, STAIND, SLIPKNOT, SHADOWS FALL, DAMAGEPLAN, and DISTURBED are just a few Locobazooka! veterans who went onto become major headliners after playing the festival.

The festival has also become known as a unique opportunity for unsigned bands to play alongside major label artists in front of an audience of thousands of fans. "Now that we've officially announced the festival, we are going to get swamped with submissions and phone calls from bands looking to play Locobazooka! We still have a few spots left that we need to fill, so I urge any band that wants to play Locobazooka! to get in touch with us immediately," said Hartwell.

Tickets for Locobazooka! United We Rock Festival featuring ALICE IN CHAINS go on-sale Thursday, May 25, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are available at the Tweeter Center Box Office and at Ticketmaster outlets, including Filene's, by calling (617/508) 931-2000, or (617) 228-6000, or by logging on to www.teapartyconcerts.com.
